Typical background: Students in the programme come from truly diverse background, both geographically and academically. Some study history in international relations, political science, history, law, economics, sociology, public policy, public administration, or other social science or humanities is an advantage.

Programme’s emphasis: Using tools of economic, social, historic and political analysis, the programme develops deep understanding of the processes shaping economic and public life in Latin America. National and regional development is seen in the rich context that interdisciplinary study and research offers. Studying Latin America in the EU also offers a unique perspective on both Latin America itself as well as on the future of the relations between both continents.
The programme is offered also as a “double-degree” – a student can also receive a Masters’ degree from a Latin American university.

Graduate’s profile: Graduates are perfectly suited to become decision-makers in multi-national corporations with Latin American connection, as well as in other companies active in economic relations between Latin America and the EU.
