Winners Announced in the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Dean’s Award Competition at the Faculty of Economics, VŠE in Prague

On Friday, May 16, 2025, the Faculty of Economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business (NF VŠE) announced the results of the 20th edition of the Dean’s Award Competition, recognizing the best bachelor’s and master’s theses by NF VŠE students.

“This year, I particularly appreciate two things: first, the number of participants who submitted theses not only on our traditional topics such as monetary and fiscal policy, but also on less typical areas including healthcare, crime, energy, and transport. Second, I would like to highlight the increasingly evident synergy between the scientific work of our students and the guidance provided by faculty members. My congratulations go not only to the winners but to all students who chose to share the results of their research. The high quality of submitted theses was also appreciated by the entire evaluation committee — this was clear both from the discussions during the final round and the conversations held during the closing reception,” commented Ing. Adéla Zubíková, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty.

Congratulations were also extended by Ing. Jan Kozák, Ph.D., long-time co-organizer of the competition.

As part of the final round, outstanding student theses from the partner Faculty of National Economy at the University of Economics in Bratislava were also recognized. Awards were presented to Veronika Boldižárová and Paula Gašpercová.

The 2025 edition of the Dean’s Award Competition was generously supported by the ČEZ Foundation, with a financial contribution of several hundred thousand CZK. The faculty and students extend their sincere thanks for this support.
