Meeting and thematic lecture for delegation of students and representatives of KDI School of Public Policy and Management from South Korea
On August 30, 2019, a delegation from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management from South Korea (see www.kdischool.ac.kr) composed of 50 students and faculty representatives visited the University of Economics, Prague. During their visit to the University of Economics and the Faculty of Economics, they listened to an introductory lecture on the university and our faculty (Assoc. Prof. Helena Chytilová – Department of Economics) and a thematic lecture on “Czech Republic: Introduction, economic view, geopolitical position in the European integration process “ (Assoc. Prof. Martin Pělucha – Department of Regional Studies).
The visit of the University of Economics in Prague took place within the framework of their international program “International Field Research and Study 2019” (August 22 till August 31 2019), during which students visited various important institutions in Europe e.g. OECD and UNESCO in Paris, World Trade Organization and the UN in Geneva, the Free University of Berlin and the DIW in Berlin (i.e. the Berlin School of Economics), the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and lastly University of Economics, Prague.
KDI University representatives confirmed their interest in deeper cooperation with the Faculty of Economics not only on the basis of possible study exchange programs, but also in the field of science and research. The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Cheol Liu and Hye June Kwon (Student Affairs Division).
