Job openning: Assistant Professor, Applied/Empirical Microeconomics

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Economics in Prague is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor position, starting September 2016. We are seeking candidates doing research in Applied Microeconomics, broadly defined to include fields such as empirical microeconomics, behavioral economics, law and economics and policy evaluation.

The appointment is for 3 years, with an option for a 3-year renewal subject to satisfactory performance, and an option for an indefinite contract after 6 years, subject to high-quality publication and teaching record. Teaching load is three classes per week (26 weeks p.a.). The salary is in the range around 1,400 euro/month after-tax, which is rather high relative to the salaries and cost of living in Prague.

To apply for the position, please email the cover letter, CV, and a job market paper to hiring.nf@vse.cz. At least two recommendation letters should be emailed directly by the recommenders. Selected candidates will be interviewed via Skype in early March and invited to job talks in late March/early April.
