The Faculty of Economics is one of six faculties of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE), the leading institution in the field of economics and business in the Czech Republic. Established in 1991, the Faculty focuses on economic theory, public policy, and applied economics, bridging academic rigor with practical relevance.

Its key areas of teaching and research include macroeconomics, microeconomics, economic policy, public finance, labor economics, environmental economics, and health economics. The Faculty offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in both Czech and English and maintains active partnerships with institutions across Europe and beyond.

With a strong emphasis on research, the Faculty fosters international collaboration and regularly hosts visiting scholars, expert lectures, and international conferences.
